In the age of AI, what essential capabilities must future generations possess in order to find their place in the world ahead? The value of education lies not only in the transmission of knowledge, but also in cultivating resilience, creativity, empathy, and the ability to solve complex problems—qualities that AI cannot fully replace.
This exhibition centers on nurturing these future-ready competencies, transforming the venue into a large-scale “incubator.” Through a narrative setting in which individuals from the year 2050 look back at 2026, visitors are invited to reflect on how these irreplaceable human qualities can be cultivated to adapt to an evolving future.
Titled Future Human Incubator, the exhibition reimagines the venue as a vast “cultivation chamber.” Visitors assume the role of future humans from 2050 who return to Taitung in 2026 to rediscover and rebuild essential life skills through exploration of educational resources. Upon entry, visitors scan a QR code to activate a digital “Future Passport,” which uses AI facial recognition to generate a personalized avatar and initial ability profile.
As they journey through six themed exhibition zones, visitors interact with on-site installations via mobile devices to complete tasks, collect digital “time fragments,” and accumulate points, which can be redeemed for commemorative items at the end of the experience. For elderly visitors or young children who may not use mobile devices, physical interactive elements—such as puzzles and balance challenges—are also provided, ensuring an inclusive experience for all.
