#Slow Economy
Tau Tau a Taitung slow guide
▌Project Overview

"Tau Tau a Slow Guide" A Practice-Oriented Pathway of the Slow Economy Emerging from Taitung

This project adopts the concept of the slow economy as a core methodology for shaping township-based branding in Taitung. Grounded in everyday local life, it seeks to re-examine how economic systems can more effectively respond to the real needs of land, industry, and community.

In this context, the slow economy does not imply a deceleration of development. Rather, it represents a place-based development framework—one that takes daily life as its scale, public issues as its point of departure, and industrial practices as its vehicle. It emphasizes whether economic activities genuinely contribute to the long-term sustainability of local livelihoods and governance capacity.

▌Program Description

"Tau Tau a Slow Guide" will be implemented through multiple formats, including the World Café Forum / Workshops, Coastal Area Actions, Rift Valley Area Actions, South-Link Area Actions, and Micro-curation Outputs. These interconnected approaches aim to link townships across Taitung, while deepening inter-local exchange and collaborative networks.
