In traditional Bunun patriarchal culture, women’s experiences, voices, and agency have often been overlooked or undervalued. Through years of grassroots empowerment work with Bunun youth, Itu Bunun tu Minduduaz has recognized that women are an indispensable force in tribal culture.

Guided by the core spirit of “Bunun Girl Studies,” the project adopts education as a pathway for cultural revitalization. It seeks to cultivate young Bunun women’s capacities for cultural practice and self-narration, while transforming their lived experiences into visible and intelligible forms of cultural action.
