Traditional archetypes are released ○, opened up to the community for remixing ×, and allowed to evolve organically each year △—we call this process Oden (Guanshan Stew).
In this process, tradition is not fixed but shared and continually reinterpreted. Like ingredients simmering in the same pot, people come together in a shared “broth” of culture, creating rich, layered expressions through participation.
Guided by the idea of “keeping culture in motion,” the project centers on a simple belief: everyone can participate, and everyone can create.
“People’s Festival” is an open, cross-disciplinary celebration. Drawing on Guanshan’s traditional elements—food, stories, and music—as flexible archetypes, it invites youth, children, artists, and the wider public to remix and reassemble them freely, expressing themselves through the festival.

Through guided walks, participants explore Guanshan’s essential stories and anecdotes, then translate them into drawings.
Together, they become guides to Guanshan, extending these narratives onto canvas. The resulting works will be presented as part of the “People’s Festival” display.
